The Red Roses have named a 38-player training squad as preparations continue ahead of back-to-back Summer Series fixtures against Canada.

The squad began their 2023/24 journey with two camps in Chester before returning south to Pennyhill Park last week.

Interim head coach Louis Deacon has been impressed by the quality and the unity on display.

“The start of our new journey together as a squad has been very enjoyable,” he said.

“Not only has there been positive progression on the field, but we have seen an incredible desire from the players and staff to do their best for one another, for the benefit of the Red Roses.

“It was extremely beneficial for the squad to experience a camp in a different region of the country, and we extend our thanks and appreciation to Chester Rugby Club for hosting us.

“The hard work continues at Pennyhill Park with everything gearing up towards the two home fixtures against Canada at Exeter Chiefs and Saracens before we travel out to New Zealand for WXV.”
