Surf's up for the Chiefs

Sun, Sea, Sand and Surf.
The Exeter Chiefs squad spent the day at Saunton Sands this week, situated on the stunning North Devon coastline.
Players and coaches arrived at The Chalet overlooking the beach in the morning where they were briefed with the activities in store for them, with the backs and forwards split into two groups. The backs started with a surfing lesson from Surf Saunton on the beach while the forwards would take part in a yoga and breath training masterclass in the garden of The Chalet.
After an hour and a half of each activity the groups swapped, giving everyone the chance to loosen up and get in the sea. On a typically British summer day the guys faced all the elements with sun, wind, and rain making for the dramatic coastal experience.
Exeter Chiefs captain Jack Yeandle said of the day "It's been a brilliant day away from the club today, it's great to come out of the Sandy Park environment and to do something different, a big thanks to everyone at Red Bull for putting the day on. Matt (Bhol) for putting everything together and Andrew (Blake) for teaching everyone how to breathe properly. It's been absolutely brilliant here, a day at the beach and being looked after with food, it's a great environment to be in so a big thank you to everyone at The Chalet for having us today."
The day away from Sandy Park comes as the Chiefs are about to go on a two-week break, before returning to pre-season training to get ready for the first round of the Premiership Rugby Cup against Bath in September.
Tickets for all confirmed games are now on sale via the Exeter Chiefs Ticket Hub.
