Leading brands from across the Westcountry have once again aligned themselves with the Exeter Chiefs, ensuring they get maximum exposure from their link with one of the heavyweight names in English and European rugby.
Kit sponsorship with both the men’s and women’s squads at Sandy Park offers companies to get their name seen not only locally, but globally through the TV and other media exposure the two teams now command.
Supporting the Chiefs in their quest to remain one of the leading club sides in world rugby is paramount and the Devon club are indebted to the backing it has received from all of its kit sponsors.
Heading up the list of leading brands portrayed on the club’s kit is Troy UK Ltd, who have taken over the main front of shirt sponsorship for the Men’s home and away kits.
Paul Kilbride, CEO of Troy commented: “Exeter Chiefs is a team close to my heart and my family and we are major fans. Becoming headline sponsor made sense, with the club’s ethics aligning with those that are integral to us at Troy – investing in home-grown talent, a passionate ‘can-do’ culture and positive mental attitude. Most importantly we, at Troy and the Chiefs recognise that we have impressive experts that specialise in the field as individuals, but when working together as a team – that’s how we win.
“Being affiliated with such a successful local sports club that has been crowned as Premiership & European champions offers great brand awareness.”
The West Exe Business Park, who were front of shirt sponsors last season, will remain on the club’s Cup kit for the 2022/23 season.
On the Women's kit, there is also a new front of shirt sponsor in the form of Packexe, whose CEO, Andrew Orchard added: "We have seen over the past two years the significant rise of the Chiefs Women’s side, including getting to their first-ever Premier 15s final last season. As a company we are not only keen to invest in a major sporting success story locally, but invest in women’s sport which is clearly on the increase, both in terms of participation and support in this country."
Other brands aligning themselves across the various Exeter Chiefs kits this season are: Advanced Scaffolding, BCR Procurement Consultancy, Bradfords Building Supplies, Camper Coffee Company, Carparison, Centrax, Crew Clothing Company, Devon Contract Waste, FDS, GX Accounts, Jurassic Kitchens, Kensa Heat Pumps, The Maynard’s School, Otter Brewery, Samurai Sportswear, Sandy Park, SW Comms and the University of Exeter.
Sam McIntyre, Sales & Account Manager for the Exeter Chiefs, said: “The exposure of the club, both in this country and overseas, is continuing to grow year on year and companies realise the true power of joining forces with the Chiefs.
“It is fantastic that so many of our long-term sponsors and partners are continuing to align with us, particularly given the challenging circumstances we all find ourselves dealing with currently. At the same time, we are delighted that we have new additions to the Chiefs family coming on board for the new season.
“We thank all of the companies for the part they have played - and continue to play - and we look forward to a highly successful partnership moving forward.”
