Schickerling Signs for Glasgow Warriors for 2024/25 Season
Exeter Chiefs tighthead prop Patrick Schickerling has agreed a move to Glasgow Warriors for the 2024/25 season.
The Namibian-born front rower will join the Scottish United Rugby Championship [URC] side following five years as a Chief in which he accumulated 37 appearances and 7 tries.
Since arriving on Devon soil in November 2018, Schickerling has played Gallagher Premiership and Investec Champions Cup rugby. Most notably, the prop was a member of the starting line-up who triumphed over London Irish in the 2022/23 Premiership Rugby Cup final at the former Premiership side’s Brentford ground.
Chiefs holds a special place in Schickerling’s heart and, while he is looking forward to a new adventure in Glasgow, he takes with him many fond memories of his time as an Exeter man.
“I will forever be grateful for the opportunities Exeter Chiefs have given me over the last five years. I have learned so much throughout my time here, with so many memorable moments – the double winning year, our Premiership Cup last year, to being named in the England squad to tour Australia.
“I want to thank the fans who have been so great to me as well as all of the staff, coaches and players who make the club the place it is.
“In the meantime, I am looking forward to finishing this exciting season off with some success.”
