By Mark Stevens
5/11/19
Exeter Rugby Club Chief Executive and Chairman Tony Rowe OBE will lead the tributes at Sunday's special Remembrance Service, which will take place prior to the Gallagher Premiership clash between Exeter Chiefs and Bristol Bears.
Rowe will be joined on the pitch ahead of kick-off by Director of Rugby, Rob Baxter, the two teams and match officials, as well as representatives from Bristol Rugby Club, the Lord Mayor of Exeter, the Royal Marines Commando Training Centre at Lympstone, 6 Rifles and HMS Defender to commemorate those servicemen and women who paid the ultimate sacrifice in battle.
Club chaplain Simon Atkinson will once again oversee the service, which will include special mention to the 25 former Exeter Rugby Club players who were killed in battle during World Wars I and II.
All supporters are asked to take their place in the stadium in advance of the service, which will begin at 2:50pm.
