Sam Simmonds edged out Exeter Chiefs team-mate in the final round to secure the fourth Question of Sport crown at Sandy Park.

In front of over 260 people, England international Simmonds was joined by Exeter City defender Pierce Sweeney and Somerset cricketer James Hildreth as they battled it out against Wales and British Lions winger, who teamed up with Exeter City skipper Jake Taylor and Olympic swimmer Liam Tancock.

With the night largely based on many of the rounds associated with the hit BBC One show, plus a few others devised by the team at Sandy Park, the evening was superbly-hosted by former Westcounty TV Head of Sport, Mark Tyler.

In a fun-filled evening, it was neck and neck between the two sides as they entered into the last of ten rounds at 31 points each. However, the quickfire round proved to be Cuthbert's downfall as his side came a cropper, eventually losing out to Simmonds, Sweeney and Hildreth 36-30 in the final scoreline.
