Tongan International Solomone Kata has left the Exeter Chiefs and will play his rugby next season at Gallagher Premiership rivals Leicester Tigers.
The 28-year-old back joined the Chiefs last August from Super Rugby franchise, Moana Pasifika, making a try-scoring debut in the 24-20 victory over his new employers at Sandy Park.
Kata - who signed a one-year deal with the Devon club - would go on to make 17 appearances for the Chiefs, scoring four tries in the process.
He is now set to join up with former Brumbies coach Dan McKellar, who has taken charge of the Tigers following the departure of Richard Wigglesworth to the England set-up.
Kata said: “Just want to take this time to say thanks to the Exeter Chiefs for giving me the opportunity to experience my first Premiership Rugby season. I have enjoyed a lot playing for this amazing team and I am grateful to have come across some amazing coaches, staff and the lads.
“I also cannot forget the fans and appreciate all the support you have given me and my family, it’s been an experience I will never forget.”
He added: “With Dan joining, it is very exciting to work with him again. I started my rugby career under him at the Brumbies and can’t wait to be coached by him again.
“I love the Premiership and the physicality of this competition. It is the kind of games I want to be involved in; taking on your opposition, man to man, and the way the crowds love that physicality.”
