Get to Know Ealing Trailfinders

For the first time ever, Championship side Ealing Trailfinders will face off against your Exeter Chiefs in this weekend’s Premiership Rugby Cup semi-final at Sandy Park. Here's everything you need to know about the London outfit.
A part of the English second division since winning National League One at the end of the 2014/15 season, Ealing have consistently been table-toppers in recent years.
Save for the year Jersey Reds won the competition in 2022/23, Ealing have been winners or runners up every season since 2015/16.
Often seen as 'the ones to beat' amongst opposition Championship teams, Ealing boast a wealth of talent. From gemstone finds from other continents - like Carlo Tizzano who is now powering his way through Super Rugby with Western Force - to formerly established Premiership or URC players the likes of Tom Collins and Mike Willemse.
Also calling the Trailfinders Sports Ground home is a competitive PWR side and an academy set-up which each year helps to feed new blood into the first team environment.
Chiefs very own Jimmy Roots and Will Goodrick-Clarke were recruited from Ealing at the outset of this year while former Chief Sean Lonsdale now plies his trade with the Londoners.
This season in league action, Ealing sit comfortably ahead of all other title contenders with 56 points from 12 games - 11 of those won - whilst second placed Bedford Blues sit 13 points behind on 43.
With a combative and competitive pack backed up by a handy backline often led by the confident Craig Hampson, they can be a dominant force across the park.
