Feyi-Waboso Named in Sunday Times Young Power List

Exeter Chiefs winger Immanuel Feyi-Waboso has been named in the Sunday Times ’30 most powerful people under 30 in the UK’ list for 2025.
The list, which is an annual compilation of 30 of the UK’s emerging talents, aims to celebrate “the tenacity and hard work” shown by its electees.
England international Feyi-Waboso is one of just six sports people elected to the list alongside the likes of Formula One driver Lando Norris and footballer Cole Palmer.
“It’s an honour to have been selected alongside so many great individuals from such a wide variety of fields of work,” Feyi-Waboso said about his inclusion in the list.
Initially signing with the Chiefs in October 2022, a whirlwind season last year saw Feyi-Waboso end the season agreeing a long-term deal to remain in Devon.
The winger’s debut came against Bath Rugby in November 2022 in a Premiership Rugby Cup clash. However, it was his prowess in both league and Investec Champions Cup games last year which saw him emerge as one of the strongest young talents in the league.
Feyi-Waboso was crowned Breakthrough Player of the Year in May 2024 followed quickly by his nomination as the RPA Young Player of the Year at the conclusion of a memorable 2024/25 season for the youngster as he became an international player, making his England debut in the 2024 Guinness Six Nations.
“Find what you really want to do, then you can achieve anything,” is the advice the 22-year-old Chiefs player gave the paper when interviewed about his talent for juggling a professional sports career with studying for a medical degree at the University of Exeter.
“Everyone at the club is proud to see Manny’s hard work – both on the rugby field and at university – be recognised with selection to this list,” Chiefs Director of Rugby Rob Baxter said. “We’re certain he’ll remain dedicated to his rugby and educational journeys.”
