Festive fixtures confirmed

BT Sport are to screen Northampton Saints against Exeter Chiefs as part of their Aviva Premiership Rugby coverage over the festive period.

In the latest TV picks announced today, it has been confirmed Rob Baxter’s side will travel to Franklin’s Gardens on Saturday, December 23 (3pm).

The mouth-watering clash is one of three the TV channel will show over the Christmas period, starting off with Worcester’s home encounter against London Irish on Friday, December 22 (7:45pm) and concluding with Leicester Tigers against Saracens on Christmas Eve (3pm).

“We’d like to thank BT Sport for their co-operation in making this announcement earlier than ever before,” said Premiership Rugby’s Commercial Director, Dominic Hayes. “It is a mark of the great relationship between BT Sport and Premiership Rugby that we are able to confirm these fixtures four months in advance. It is done to help both our clubs and supporters plan their Christmas weekends.”

Friday, 22 December

Worcester Warriors v London Irish, 7.45pm – Live on BT Sport

Saturday, 23 December

Northampton Saints v Exeter Chiefs, 3pm – Live on BT Sport

Newcastle Falcons v Harlequins, 3pm

Sale Sharks v Bath Rugby, 3pm

Wasps v Gloucester Rugby, 3pm

Sunday, 24 December

Leicester Tigers v Saracens, 3pm – Live on BT Sport
