Exeter Chiefs, the current Aviva Premiership champions, are proud to announce Cybus Global as a new key sponsor for the forthcoming 17/18 season.
Based within Exeter, Cybus Global is a provider of digital training within the compliance and security arenas – and they have recently developed the UK’s first truly interactive digital training solution for the GDPR staff awareness requirement faced by all businesses.
The gdprcourse.com branding will have prominence at the Chiefs ground, Sandy Park, alongside other key sponsors such as SW Comms, Centrax and Flybe with high visibility at the ground.
Cybus’s CEO, Neill Friend, said: “We are delighted to have secured key sponsor status with the Chiefs. We are particularly pleased that Jack Nowell, the current England and British & Irish Lions winger, will be working closely with the Cybus team over the coming season’
The General Data Protection Regulation, or GDPR, is new EU legislation that will affect every business within the European Union and applies to the UK regardless of Brexit. The risks of noncompliance to companies is substantial. Cybus has products and in-house expertise that can assist all businesses in mitigating their risks under the GDPR.
Sales Executive at the Exeter Chiefs Chris Bentley said: “When Neil discussed the incoming legislation surrounding compliance to GDPR I knew an association with the Chiefs could help to get the message out there. By stepping up to key sponsor status they will certainly be very evident to the thousands on a matchday and hundreds of thousands watching at home.”
Cybus works in close partnership with Olive Media Group and hiupapp.com. Olive Media Group, of which Neill is also a shareholder, has spent a decade developing global training platforms that provides solutions to companies such as Tesco, BAE Systems and BAM. The group, in conjunction with Cybus Global, will be launching hiupapp.com this year which will change the training and application for jobs takes place globally
Neill added: “We at Cybus Global and Olive Media are very proud to be associated with the market leading brand that the Chiefs now are. To be able to play a role in the continued growth and success of the club was key to the decision to agree the deal.”
Cybus Director, Martin Hall, himself no stranger to the sporting limelight having played a leading role in the dominant Wigan RL side of the late 90’s, added: “We are excited to be associated with such a success story as the Chiefs. We are a local business and being able to show that the South West can deliver cutting edge technology to provide key businesses solutions in the most cost-effective way demonstrates that the area, in particular Exeter, continues to go from strength to strength.
“Sport, in particular rugby, is a big part of all of our lives within the Cybus team and we see this relationship as long term and look forward to working with and supporting the club over the coming years.”
