Exeter Chiefs will face French side Montpellier-Herault in the last 16 of this season’s Heineken Champions Cup.
Saturday’s 40-3 victory over Castres ensured Rob Baxter’s side finished as second seeds in Pool A on a total of 16 points.
They will now welcome Montpellier to Sandy Park on the weekend of April 1/2.
The two sides have met on previous occasions in the competition, the most recent being last season when the Chiefs won at Sandy Park 42-6, before losing the corresponding fixture 37-26 at the GGL Stadium.
The game is sure to have added spice with the fact that two of the current Chiefs, hooker Luke Cowan-Dickie and No.8 Sam Simmonds, will be joining the Top 14 outfit next season.
Should the Chiefs advance into the quarter-finals, they would have home advantage against either the DHL Stormers of Harlequins.
