Exeter Chiefs to Commemorate Women's Season with Open-Top Bus Parade
It has been a remarkable nine months for the Exeter Chiefs Women, rising to the very pinnacle of the game, reaching the final of the Allianz Premier 15s as well as claiming victory in the inaugural Allianz Cup.
To celebrate their achievements, Exeter Chiefs are delighted to invite everyone to line the streets on Monday 6th June from 18:00 and cheer the squad as they showcase their trophy and celebrate with fans, on an open top bus ride through the city.
In only their second season together, this incredible group led by head-coach Susie Appleby, have laid the foundations for a legacy of Women’s Rugby in the Southwest and broken the monopoly of success which the London based clubs have enjoyed for several seasons.
It has long been a tradition of the club to mark major milestones with an Open Top Bus parade, and the achievements of this squad deserve no less celebration.
The busses will travel from St James’ Park, making their way along Sidwell Street and the High Street before arriving at the Guildhall where the team will be greeted with a Civic Reception hosted by the Lord Mayor of Exeter.
Members of the Coaches and Playing Squad will take to the Guildhall balcony to raise their Allianz Cup Trophy and celebrate with fans!
It promises to be a fantastic occasion, with the opportunity for fans to take photos with their favourite players and recognise the fantastic achievements of the team.
