Apply now to watch World Class women's rugby on your doorstep
There is just one more week left to apply for the ballot for the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025.
Sandy Park is hosting seven games, including two double-headers and two quarter-finals.
Exeter Chiefs fans will get the opportunity to support their local heroines when they run out for Canada, Japan and Scotland in the pool games. They will also get to see New Zealand and France in action, who are currently in 3rd and 4th places respectively in the World Rugby rankings.
Meanwhile, Chiefs’ Irish players will undoubtedly be aiming for a Sandy Park quarter-final. Rugby fans have until 11am on November 19, 2024, to apply for tickets.
More than 130,000 tickets have already sold during the pre-sale phase, nearly surpassing the total number of tickets ever sold for a Women’s Rugby World Cup.
Exeter Chiefs Women’s head coach Susie Appleby said: “I would urge supporters to apply for tickets now. It you’ve already come to watch us at Sandy Park, then you know how exciting the women’s game can be. You will also know that Sandy Park is a great stadium for families, and I know there are affordable tickets available.
“I cannot stress too much that this is a huge opportunity to come and watch the very best that women’s world rugby has to offer right on our doorstep. Even if you have never watched the sport before or the women’s version, this is also a great chance to inspire young people, and older ones too! Everyone can be involved in an international competition without having to travel too far to enjoy the atmosphere.”
Tickets are available for all eight venues across the UK with more than 60% of tickets under £25 and child prices available at every match. Sandy Park’s tickets are between £10 and £25 for adults for the pool matches and £15 and £45 for the two quarter-finals. A child’s ticket, for children aged 15 and under on the date of the match day, is £5 for a every game
Canadian international Alex Tessier said: “Sandy Park is obviously home for me when I play for Chiefs, so I am super excited to be playing here with Canada. It will be wonderful to see some familiar faces in the crowd but also to see some new fans who may not have been to a live game before or have never even watched rugby. A World Cup is a great time to get behind women’s rugby especially at the rate it is growing at right now, so let’s join the party!”
Ireland’s co-captain Edel ‘Tricky’ McMahon added: “It goes without saying that we will be playing for a quarter-final place but for Cli (Moloney), Doro (Wall) and me, it will be a wonderful opportunity to play on home turf and to introduce the rest of the Irish players to Sandy Park and its wonderful fans.”
Fans can apply to the ballot here before 11am on November 19, 2024.
