| The Red Roses have confirmed an official 30-player squad for the inaugural WXV tournament in New Zealand this autumn, including two of the Exeter Chiefs stars, Maisy Allen and Claudia MacDonald. Marlie Packer will captain the side as she edges towards 100 caps for her country with Zoe Aldcroft and Helena Rowland named as vice captains. Twenty-one of the travelling contingent experienced New Zealand as part of the 2021 Rugby World Cup touring party last year. England head into WXV 1 following back-to-back wins over Canada whom they will face at Dunedin’s Forsyth Barr Stadium on Friday 27 October (KO 07:00 BST) in Round 2.
