Exeter Chiefs will return to Anglo-Welsh Cup duty with a trip to Harlequins in the opening round of the 2016/17 competition.
With the coming having taken a break last year due to the Rugby World Cup, it returns for this campaign with the Chiefs looking to reach a third successive final.
Rob Baxter’s side have been put into Pool 2 of the competition alongside the Ospreys, Sale Sharks and Worcester Warriors, but such is the make-up of the tournament, they will actually play side from Pool 3.
Harlequins are first up for the Devon club in a televised clash on Saturday, November 5 at the Twickenham Stoop (5:30pm), quickly followed by another BT Sport engagement on Sunday, November 13 against Cardiff Blues at Sandy Park (3pm).
The competition then takes a break until late January when the Chiefs face Wasps at Sandy Park in Round 3 on Saturday, January 28 (3pm) and then wrap up the qualification stages with the short trip to newly-promoted Bristol on Sunday, February 5 (3pm).
The semi-finals of the competition will take place over the weekend of March 10-12 with the final itself held on Sunday, March 18.
