Tank Top of the Pile for Tries

He has four tries in his last two games and that has ensured that Thomas Waldrom finishes 2015 as the most prolific try-scorer in Aviva Premiership Rugby.

After failing to cross the whitewash in his first five games of the 2015/16 campaign, Waldrom burst into life with a hat-trick against Wasps before grabbing one last time out against Sale Sharks.

His failure to get on the scoresheet in the early stages of the season might not have been surprising in previous years, except for the fact that 32-year-old Waldrom was the top scorer last term with an astonishing 16, according to the latest statistics from Stuart Farmer Media Services.

That matched Neil Back's record for a forward and the eight he grabbed after January has meant he is top of the tree for 2015 with 12, two more than Chris Ashton and three more than Chris Wyles while just four shy of Iain Balshaw's record from 2000.

Waldrom is one of 577 players who have had Aviva Premiership Rugby game time in 2015, with Bath Rugby duo Matt Garvey and Nick Auterac playing the most games with 20.

However it is another Bath star who has put in the most time on the pitch in 2015 with Semesa Rokoduguni having played 1380 minutes this year, 27 more than Elliot Daly with Alex Goode third on 1360.

Rokoduguni also takes a streak into 2016 as he started the last 18 games in a row, while Exeter Chiefs' Will Chudley (pictured) has started every game since September 19 2014.

It is Harlequins' veteran fly-half Nick Evans who has racked up the most points in 2015 as he finishes on 208, having surpassed the century mark for this season in the thrilling 39-39 draw against Gloucester Rugby at Twickenham on Sunday.

Northampton Saints' Stephen Myler and George Ford of Bath Rugby are second and third with 186 and 152 points respectively, but no one has come close to matching the record of 332 set by London Irish's Barry Everitt in 2001.

Sale Sharks' Dan Braid has started the most Aviva Premiership Rugby games as captain, winning seven, drawing one and losing nine of his 17 outings as skipper.

However, it is Sam Harrison who is Leicester Tigers' lucky charm have been on the winning team the most times in 2015. The scrum-half has won 15 games and lost just three times, one less than Saracens pair Maro Itoje and Jamie George.

Wasps' Simon McIntyre has appeared the most times off the bench (14) while Dave Lewis of Exeter Chiefs has the most appearances off the bench without starting with 11.

Jack Clifford will also go into the history books in 2015 but perhaps for the wrong reasons as his three yellow cards were the most in 2015.

And finally, 16 players have appeared in all their club's Aviva Premiership Rugby games in 2015.

Jamie Gibson has played in all 19 possible games for Leicester Tigers and Northampton Saints, while Sam Dickinson, Lee Dickson, Mike Haywood and Alex Waller have played in all 18 Saints games.

The others to have played all 18 times are Daly for Wasps, Waldrom and Jack Yeandle for Exeter Chiefs, Sale Sharks' Vadim Cobilas, Mike Haley, Jonathan Mills, and Ross Harrison, Charlie Matthews for Harlequins, Rob Vickers for Newcastle Falcons and London Irish's Alex Lewington.
