Watching the matches and soaking up the atmosphere is going to be possible for everyone, even if you don’t have a ticket for the matches at Sandy Park, England or other games.
Come and join the party for FREE in the Exeter Fanzone throughout Rugby World Cup 2015.
Located in Exeter’s picturesque Northernhay Gardens it will show live matches on a big screen, have a variety of events and entertainment for fans and families, a wide range of food stalls and a tournament buzz guaranteed.
For days when Rugby World Cup 2015 matches are not being shown within Exeter Fanzone, ticketed events are being planned. A spectacular opening and closing event will also take place in Exeter Fanzone.
Find Exeter Fanzone just a stone’s throw from Exeter Central Train Station and the bustling High Street. Exeter Fanzone will be open for up to 5,000 people to visit, with FREE entry throughout Rugby World Cup 2015. A Festival of Rugby will be held in Exeter and the Heart of Devon to keep you entertained whilst you are visiting before, during and after Rugby World Cup 2015.
As a Host City, Exeter will provide a 5,000 capacity Fanzone which will be open for 13 days for all Sandy Park matches, England matches and all of the knock-out stages.
The Exeter Fanzone will enable all those who don't have tickets for the Tournament to take part in Rugby World Cup 2015. Not only will the matches be broadcast live on a giant screen, but there will be daily free Rugby and sports activities hosted by the RFU, local rugby clubs, Active Devon and other sports organisations - your chance to 'have a go' and learn more about rugby and other sporting activity in the city and how you can participate.
On stage in the break, pre and post matches, there will be a broad range of family entertainment - bands, singers, choirs, orchestras, dance and more, hosted by comperes from Sandy Park including former Exeter Chiefs players Chris Bentley and Chris Whitehead, as well as Sandy Park match Compere James Chubb.
Each day will see a variety of local excellent food stalls in the Exeter Fanzone offering the best that the South West has to offer and bars run by Exeter Chiefs. Please be advised that the Exeter Fanzone is open air, please bring along a picnic blanket.
Under 16’s must be accompanied by a responsible adult and random bag searching will be undertaken by security on entry to the Exeter Fanzone. No glass, food, drink or dogs (except guide dogs) will be permitted when Exeter Fanzone is open
