Joel Conlon will leave Exeter Chiefs at the end of the season to start a new chapter in his playing career with Aviva Premiership rivals Saracens.

The Taunton-born forward, who has made nine first team appearances - including lining up against new club in this season's LV= Cup Final, will join the Saracens Senior Academy later this summer.

As well as featuring for the Chiefs, the 21-year-old has also spent the past two seasons playing on dual registered terms with Championship side Cornish Pirates.

Speaking about his switch to Allianz Park, Conlon said: "'I'm really excited to be moving to Saracens next season. They're a club with a lot of ambition and I can't wait to get started there.”

Saracens Academy Manager, Don Barrell: "Joel is coming in to be part of our senior academy group who we expect to progress at a good rate into the senior set-up. We're very excited to have him on board.

"We're really happy to get him. He's a hugely talented prospect and I think he has proven that in the games he's played for Exeter. He had a fantastic Junior World Championship campaign for England last summer and we think he's a back rower with a huge amount of potential.”
