Avoid huge scrums at Sandy Park
Supporters visiting Sandy Park for all matches this season can avoid huge scrums following the final whistle by using current transport arranged by the Chiefs.
Those travelling by car to fixtures should take note of the following changes for the 2015/16 season.
Match-day parking will remain at either Westpoint Arena or Crealy Adventure Park and will include door-to-door, shuttle transfer for all occupants in one car to and from the stadium, both before and after the game.
This season supporters are encouraged to book their match-day parking online, via the Exeter Chiefs website, as the cost of parking on the day itself will be more expensive.
Parking for games has increased for the first time in eight years, moving from £5 to £7 – if purchased online before games – or £10 on the day itself.
Keiron Northcott, Match-Day Controller for the Chiefs, said: “As a club we know our match-day parking scheme is very popular and offers a great service to all those supporters coming to Sandy Park for games.
“Sadly, due to rising operational costs it has meant we have had to look at increasing our match-day fee, but we still feel the scheme offers excellent value, delivering all supporters to and from the stadium with hassle-free ease.
“Our simple advice to those supporters who use the match-day parking is to book online prior to games and make use of the reduced rate.”
For Rugby World Cup fixtures during September and October at Sandy Park, supporters should note that due to the varied dates and kick-off times of fixtures, normal match-day parking near the ground will be affected.
However, Westpoint Arena will have additional capacity for these games and will be open. Again supporters are advised to book their place online beforehand and to arrive early.
Finally, supporters who use the three varying bus services (No.77, No.78 or C Bus, run by either Dartline Coaches or Stagecoach) should take note that these services will remain the same as last season. Buses will run for three hours before and after fixtures and full details of the routes on offer are available via the Exeter Chiefs website, not forgetting that the C bus will continue to provide a late service for those wishing to stay on and join in the post-match entertainment in the Wigwam and Exeter Suite.
