100 Days to Go to RWC
Excitement is building in and around Sandy Park as today marks 100 days to go until the start of the Rugby World Cup 2015.
As one of 13 venues for the tournament, Sandy Park - home to the Exeter Chiefs - will welcome five different countries to Devon during September and October for three fixtures.
The games at Sandy Park will be:
September 29 - Tonga v Namibia
October 7 - Namibia v Georgia
October 11 - Italy v Romania
It's thought the three matches at Sandy Park will generate £39 million of economic activity to the city, create 286 new jobs, increase visitor numbers to the region and establish a long lasting legacy.
As well as the 100-day countdown to the start of the Tournament, the Webb Ellis Cup starts its journey around the UK and Ireland as part of the Rugby World Cup Trophy Tour.
The Webb Ellis Cup, currently held by New Zealand, will be on show for the public to come and see at Sandy Park on the afternoon of Friday, July 10 from 12 noon to 2pm.
