Exeter Chiefs have confirmed that nine of their Academy youngsters will form part of the Cornish Pirates squad this season.

Max Bodilly, Matt Bolwell, Joel Conlon, Kieran Davies and Tom Hendrickson - all of whom made a significant contribution to the Pirates squad last season - will again link-up with the Cornish club on dual registered terms.

Also returning to the Mennaye Field is lock Will Carrick-Smith, who joins on a season long loan.

And added to the mix for the 2014/15 campaign are hooker Jack Innard, fly-half Laurence May, and scrum-half Stuart Townsend.

Pirates' Director of Rugby Ian Davies who has maintained an excellent working relationship with Exeter Chiefs, said: "The DRs will add to the youthful energy we have in the squad this season.”

“The lads returning know what we are about and I've seen the new boys in Chiefs colours last season so know they will fit right in."
