Yet more Happy Campers

With School Out for the week, over 50 youngsters again descended on Sandy Park - home to the Exeter Chiefs - for the latest half-term camp.

Set-up and run by the Chiefs' Community department, the two-day camp offers an exciting opportunity for all young rugby players to enjoy some fun, skills, drills and competitions, whilst at the same time taking in some tips of the trade from our team of professional coaches.

During the fun-filled two days, parents were able to just sit back and relax why their child got the chance to hone their rugby skills in the same environment that head coach Rob Baxter uses to bring the best out of his Exeter squad on a weekly basis.

Under the guidance of our coaches Mark Lee, Thomas Viljoen, George Fleming, George Kimmins, Jamie Fleming and Charlie Percival, youngsters aged between 6-15 not only used the two days to hone their playing skills, but they were also able to get a close-up view of the Chiefs first team squad as they prepared for their Aviva Premiership clash with Saracens at Allianz Park.

Chiefs' Community Development Manager Marc Dibble said: "Despite the miserable weather conditions on the first day, again it was another hugely successful camp. As a club we love to welcome in so many youngsters and give them an insight into how things operate at a Premiership club.

"At the same time, our qualified coaches really do give the young campers some excellent advice and knowledge on how to improve their rugby skills. Over the two days it's clear to see the improvements that so many of them make just by having that expert guidance."
