Exeter Chiefs Under-18s maintained their unbeaten record in this season's Premiership Under-18s League with an impressive 39-20 win away to London Wasps.

Having already seen off both Bath and Bristol this term, the Chiefs claimed another prized scalp as a dominant first half performance laid the foundations for this latest success.

Fly-half Joel Matavesi got the visitors up and running with an early penalty before he then slotted the extras to Exeter's opening try which came courtesy of Kai Little, who was able to run in from halfway on nine minutes.

The Chiefs were dominating proceedings and they extended their lead midway through the half when Jack Faulkner claimed a second try only for Wasps to counter with a penalty of their own.

Ned Warne - who was impressive in the centre alongside Tom Holdsworth - claimed Exeter's third try, which was converted to make it 22-3, but just before the break Wasps produced their best play of the half to claim their first try of the game.

After the break, the Chiefs were soon back into their stride on the artificial surface at Maidenhead Rugby Club and wrapped up the win and the all-important bonus point as they claimed tries through Nat Bayett, Jack Maunder and Ed Holmes, one of which was converted.

With the game effectively over, Wasps gave the scoreline some respectability with two late scores of their own. However, the Chiefs were well worthy of their success and must now ready themselves for Saturday's trip to Harlequins.
