The Tribe were out in force as Exeter Chiefs took to the City Centre streets for this year’s Season Launch.

With Sandy Park currently out of bounds due to multi-million pound redevelopment works, Rob Baxter and his 2014/15 squad were able to get up close and personal with the Chiefs supporters during a special three-hour visit.

The first team squad, along with Big Chief, were on hand to sign autographs, pose for pictures and chat with the many fans who had descended on Bedford Square for the event.

The Chiefs Community team were on hand with a number of small-sided rugby drills, whilst there was also plenty of interest from fans keen to pre-order the club’s new Cup kit and sign up for the ever-popular Junior Chiefs Supporters Club.

Skipper Dean Mumm said of the event: “It was great to see so many of our supporters out and about in the city. We all know how fanatical they are when it comes to following us throughout the season, so as a squad it’s nice that we can give something back for them.

“We are now only a few weeks away from the start of the Premiership, so there is a real excitement not only amongst the squad, but also the supporters as well and that was evident during our trip into the city.”

The Chiefs kick-off their Premiership campaign on Sunday, September 7 away to newly-promoted London Welsh before playing host to Leicester Tigers in their opening home game on Saturday, September 13.

Tickets for the Tigers game are now on sale, but due to redevelopment works at Sandy Park, tickets for this game are only available online at this stage.
