RPA Awards Night 2014
Leicester Tigers' Vereniki Goneva completed a memorable finish to his outstanding season by being crowned the Computacenter Players’ Player of the Year 2014, at the 16th annual RPA Computacenter Players’ Awards held at Battersea Evolution, London.
The Fijian winger's prolific form has not gone unnoticed by his fellow professionals and his impressive haul of 12 tries in 18 Aviva Premiership matches has seen him take home this prestigious award.
Goneva said: "This is an extremely proud and happy moment for me to win this award. There are so many other fantastic players in the Aviva Premiership, so I feel very humbled to be named ahead of them. When I first arrived in England, I never would of thought I would win such a big award, so it means an awful lot to me. I would like to thank my family and friends as well as all my Leicester Tigers team-mates and coaches."
