Premiership Fixtures released

Exeter Chiefs will kick-off their 2014/15 Aviva Premiership season with a trip to newly-promoted London Welsh in Round One of the competition.

Rob Baxter's side will travel to the Kassam Stadium in Oxford on Sunday, September 7 for a 2pm kick-off.

It will be the third meeting of the two clubs in English rugby's top flight with the Chiefs having suffered a narrow 25-24 defeat on their last visit to the Kassam, before winning the return fixture 47-16 at Sandy Park during the 2012/13 season.

The Exiles - under the guidance of head coach Justin Burnell - regained their Premiership place last month when they overcame Bristol to win the RFU Championship for the second time.

The game is one of four fixtures BT Sport will cover during the opening weekend of the season - and the BT Sport cameras will also be in attendance for Exeter's next three fixtures as well, which includes home dates with Leicester Tigers and Harlequins, as well as an away day at Gloucester in Round Three.

The Chiefs will kick-off their home campaign against Leicester Tigers on Saturday, September 13 (3.15pm) before then travelling to Kingsholm for a Friday night engagement with Gloucester on September 19 (7.45pm).

Round Four of the Premiership will see the Chiefs entertain Harlequins on Sunday, September 28 (2pm) before the opening block of fixtures is completed with a trip to Newcastle Falcons on Sunday, October 5 (3pm) and the visit of London Irish on Saturday, October 11 (3pm).

Fixtures after Round Six are liable to change due to TV requirements, whilst the new European fixtures, together with that of the LV= Cup, should be available some time next week.
