Nowell named in England squad
By Mark Stevens
Exeter Chiefs star Jack Nowell has been named in an unchanged England squad to travel to Edinburgh for their RBS 6 Nations match against Scotland on Saturday.
The 20-year-old Cornishman, who won his first cap in last Saturday's narrow defeat to France in Paris, will be hoping to line-up in a back division which has been bolstered by the news that Gloucester's Jonny May has been passed fit take his place in the 23 despite breaking his nose at the weekend.
The starting XV and replacements will be named on Thursday and Head Coach Stuart Lancaster said: "We were disappointed by the result against France but very proud of many aspects of the performance and we want to give the same 23 the opportunity to build on that against Scotland.
"All the squad have been excellent in training over the last two days and I know those going back to play for their Aviva Premiership clubs will be determined to put a marker down for the subsequent matches."
Nowell's Exeter team-mate Tom Johnson is one of a number of players who have been released back to their clubs ahead of this weekend's Aviva Premiership fixtures.
The Chiefs entertain high-flying Northampton Saints on Saturday (7pm) at Sandy Park and will be glad to have Johnson available for selection.
