New face in Community Chiefs
By Mark Stevens
Exeter Chiefs have bolstered their Community department by adding Andrew Dudley to their coaching team.
The 20-year-old Exeter University graduate will work under the leadership of Community Manager Marc Dibble and alongside fellow coaches Mark Lee and Thomas Viljoen in helping to deliver the club's various programmes to children and adults from around the region.
In what has again been another busy year for the Community Chiefs, Andrew will not only assist with club activities such as Super Saturdays and Community Camps, but will also engage in programmes such as White Line Fever, Something to Chew On, Land Rover Cup and the hugely popular Aviva Premiership Rugby Schools Programme."As a department the past 12 months have been very busy for us," said Marc. "Recently we have just launched the Hitz Programme within the city, so it was vital that we brought in another member to our team. After an extensive and quality application process, we were delighted to offer Andrew his post within our team. I have no doubt he will be a great addition to Community Chiefs and will help us to continue delivering high class coaching and learning throughout all of our programmes and camps."
Tamworth-born Andrew is himself relishing the opportunity of working within the club, adding: "Joining the Community Chiefs is fantastic and I'm really looking forward to working around the region helping to not only deliver the numerous programmes the club has on offer, but at the same time helping to spread the good name of the Chiefs far and wide."
Among Andrew's first duties will be to help with the various Summer Camps the Community Chiefs will be running through the local area.
Camps, which have a starting price of £25, are aimed at boys and girls aged between 6-16 and will offer them the perfect opportunity to hone all their rugby skills in various match-like scenarios.
