Irish Match-Day Plans

Fans Gloucester lge
We all know match-days at Sandy Park are something special and this weekend’s Aviva Premiership encounter with London Irish promises to one to savour with a host of activities - both before and after the game - to keep you royally entertained.

PRE-MATCH

With the day kicking off with our ever-popular ‘Super Saturday’ programme run by the Chiefs Community team, hundreds of youngsters will get the chance to learn from the professionals as members of Rob Baxter’s squad take them through a three-hour training session, as well as a tour of the new and improved facilities.

The stadium itself opens to the general public from 12pm, where upon supporters can make use of the many match-day bars and food outlets, which for this season also includes a new match-day carvery.

The two-course carvery, which can be booked in advance via the official Chiefs website, is priced at £16 per person and is available in the County Suite with sittings at 12pm, 1pm and 2pm. Walk-up diners are welcome on match-days, but be advised that if demand is high you run the risk of missing a particular sitting.

Ahead of kick-off itself, our Match-Day Events team will be busy bringing you the dulcet tones of Claire Lash Williams as part of our pre-match build-up, whilst our announcer James Chubb will be on hand to give you all the team news and club announcements.

HALF TIME

Game day would not be the same without an appearance from ‘Derek The Otter’ in our Half-Time Challenge that allows contestants to not only test their kicking skills, but at the same time win the chance to tackle the Otter Brewery mascot and win a case of beer.

Supporters will also get the chance to win some of the award-winning Darts Farm Cheese in our latest ‘Cheesy Tune’, which this week will be brought to you with the soundtrack of ABBA’s ‘Dancing Queen’.

POST-MATCH

It all begins with the traditional Man of the Match award presentations on the pitch, before we invite you all inside to the Chiefs Suite for a night of musical mayhem brought to you by our two bands - Eat the Rich and then Revolving Door.

With food and drink aplenty available, why leave the party early as you can dance the night away before then making the most of our late Bus Services back into the City Centre.
