The Big Walk 2014

There is just one week left for you to sign up for the upcoming 'Big Walk 2014'.

The annual 10-mile sponsored walk, which has been organised by the Exeter Foundation, will start and finish at Sandy Park and takes in a flat and scenic route around the River Exe Valley and is open to keen or social walkers, who are aged 12 years or over.

Helping to raise funds for the club's official charity, the event will be held on Saturday, May 31st at 10.30am, and will look to support a minimum of 20 local charities and organisations.

Building on the success of previous years, once the walk has been completed by participants, they can enjoy a well-earned first pint or soft drink, one of Sandy Park's famous pasties for FREE, before then settling in to watch this year's Aviva Premiership Final between Saracens and Northampton Saints live on the big screens.

"We feel the Exeter Foundation Charity Walk ticks all the boxes," said Deputy Chief Executive and Foundation Trustee, Keiron Northcott.

"Not only are you are getting some good exercise, but at the same time you're getting to see a beautiful part of our great city; you're raising money for local charities and then finishing it off with a pint, a pasty and the Premiership Final.

"Personally, it seems like the perfect day for a lot of our supporters".

The event is open to individuals and corporate teams, so for more details and an entry form, please e-mail [email protected] or contact the club office during normal working hours (Monday to Friday from 10am-4pm).

The main sponsors for this year's events are the South West Communications Group, Santander and Northcott Beaton Insurance Brokers.
