Championship Rugby is returning to Sandy Park next week when the home of Exeter Chiefs stages the first-ever Greene King IPA Championship double header in the Westcountry.

Led by the Championship clubs, the double header weekend is designed to kick-off the new season under Greene King IPA with a festival of Championship rugby, taking place at the three neutral venues of Allianz Park, Castle Park and Sandy Park.

Taking place on Sunday, September 15, the Exeter Double Header - which will form part of the 23 league round season with points counting towards the club's final league standing - will see Plymouth Albion tackle Jersey in the opening game of the day at 1.15pm, before the Cornish Pirates lock horns with Bristol in the second game (3.30pm).

It's certainly a unique occasion and together with the Chiefs, the Rugby Football Union want to recognise the efforts of all our Armed Forces and Emergency Services by staging a special match-day in their honour.

That is why for the Exeter Double Header, any serving member of the Armed Forces or the Emergency Services will be able to claim up to six FREE tickets, providing they show a current and valid ID card to staff at the club ticket office.

This offer can only be claimed by personnel visiting the main ticket office at Sandy Park between 10am and 4pm, Monday to Friday - or on match-day itself with the ticket office opening from 11am.
