Departing fly-half Ignacio Mieres says he will always be grateful for the chance given to him by the Exeter Chiefs and head coach Rob Baxter.

The 25-year-old playmaker has today confirmed he will be departing Sandy Park at the end of the season to join Aviva Premiership rivals Worcester Warriors.

It will bring to an end a three-year spell for the Argentinian international in Devon, during which time he has amassed 395 points in 51 appearances for the club.

Commenting on his move, Mieres said: "I'm very grateful to Rob Baxter and Exeter Chiefs for the opportunity they gave me over the last few seasons.

"The Chiefs are a great club with great supporters and very hard working and talented staff who deserve success.

"My focus is now on the rest of this season and giving all I have because I want to have a strong finish with the Chiefs and a successful end of the season."
