Exeter Chiefs Under-18s continue to blaze a trail in the new Academy league as they made it four wins from four with a comprehensive 53-5 victory over London Wasps at Sandy Park.

In a dominant display, the Chiefs made light of the loss of England Under-18 forward Matt Bolwell and Scottish half-back Ben Vellacott, to produce their best performance of the season so far.

Having already claimed victories over Bath, Saracens and London Irish, Rob Gibson's youngsters wasted little time in making their mark as winger Ned Warne claimed the first of their eight tries on the day.

Marcus Garrett extended their lead with a second try midway through the first half, only for the visitors to respond just moments later with their only score of the contest.

Sadly that would be the only bright spot for the Londoners, who by the break were already trailing 33-5 as the Chiefs added further scores through Tom Holdsworth, Stuart Townsend and Max Bodilly.

If the first half was impressive, the second was equally as good for Exeter who ruled the roost in every facet of the game.

Centre Tom Hendrickson was rewarded with a score just after the restart, before Sam Simmonds and Luke Mingo added further touchdowns for the Devon club.

Bodilly capped another impressive display, finishing the game with a total of 13 points from the boot.
