Exeter Chiefs continued their preparations for the new 2013/14 season by engaging in an afternoon of some specially arranged Team Building exercises at nearby Bicton College.
Aimed at ensuring Rob Baxter's side hit the campaign in fine fettle, the Chiefs Strength and Conditioning team are leaving no stone unturned as they prepare the squad for the rigours of another big year ahead.
Having already engaged in a series of activities at Sandy Park and also Exmouth Beach, it was another change of scenery for the players as they visited the leading land-based College.
On a blistering hot day in Devon, the Chiefs were certainly put through their paces as they were tested in activities such as Tractor Pulling, Kayaking, Raft Racing, Mountain Bike Time Trial and Puzzle Solving.
Bicton College, who already have strong links with the Chiefs through their Rugby Academy, pulled out all the stops to provide a testing, yet enjoyable experience for the Chiefs squad.
Chiefs Head of Strength and Conditioning, Mark Twiggs, said: "Pre-season is a massive part of any club's preparations and here at the Chiefs we like to work the players in a testing, yet enjoyable environment. Getting out into the local area and working with various organisations is a massive part of our plans and we've been delighted with everything provided by the Bicton College Staff.
"In terms of our preparations, I am very happy with the results and progress of the work put in by all the players. Obviously we still have plenty to do ahead of the new season, but the signs are very encouraging and we'll look to build on that over the coming weeks."
