ABOUT TONY: Having moved from his native New Zealand to Scotland, Tony played for Leamington, Biggar, Gala and Edinburgh, before he really made his mark with the Borders, lining up alongside the likes of Doddie Weir, Gary Armstrong, Chris Cusiter and Nikki Walker in the old Celtic League.

A powerful and abrasive back-row forward, he spent two years with the Scottish region before he made the move south in 2004, signing for the Exeter Chiefs, who were then in the old National League One, playing under the guidance of former Director of Rugby Ian Bremner.

He would make over 95 appearances for the Devon club before a serious knee injury cut short his playing career in 2008.

A popular figure on and off the field at the club, the Chiefs were keen to keep hold of Walker moving forward and together with Keith Fleming, he was instrumental in helping set up the club's existing Community department.

It was a role he would hold for a number of years, before he departed the club for a short stint working in recruitment within the city. However, his love affair with the Chiefs would see him return back to Sandy Park, this time taking on the role of team manager, where he oversees areas such as player registration, away-day planning, kit management and player welfare.
