Already tipped for the top by former All Blacks skipper Sean Fitzpatrick, the young Cornishman is another who has progressed through to the Exeter senior ranks through the club’s Academy system at Truro College.

Having started out as a destructive loosehead prop, Cowan-Dickie then moved across the front-row to develop his game further as a hooker of the future.

Not only is the youngster a massive ball-carrying threat, but his relentless work-rate and mobility around the park make him the perfect modern-day forward.

A Six Nations title winner with England Under-20s early in 2013, he then followed that success up when he was part of the England squad that lifted the Junior World Championships in France.

Now established as a key figure within the Chiefs’ first-team plans, Cowan-Dickie was capped by England in their warm-up fixture with France ahead of the 2015 Rugby World Cup. Although he missed out on the final 30-man squad for the tournament, he has since been named in Eddie Jones’ first EPS squad and is predicting to make his mark on the international stage sooner rather than later.
