Known for his explosive ball-carrying ability, Tongan international Fetu’u Vainikolo joined the Chiefs during the summer of 2013 following a spell playing in the Rabo ProDirect12 with Irish side Connacht.
The experienced winger moved to Galway in 2011 having previously spent two years playing Super Rugby for the Highlanders in New Zealand.
Vainikolo represented his country at the 2011 World Cup where he scored a try in his side’s 31-18 victory over Japan and has since featured for his country in the last two Pacific Nations Cup tournaments.
With Heineken Cup experience also under his belt and tries against the likes of Leinster and Biarritz in that competition, Chiefs’ supporters are relishing seeing Vainikolo take to the turf at Sandy Park this season.
