Recruited by the Chiefs in 2009 from Premiership outfit Bath, the Birmingham-born forward played a pivotal role in his first season at the club, helping Exeter overcome Bristol in the inaugural Championship Play-Off final to reach the top flight for the first time.

A virtual ever-present in the Exeter back-row since his arrival, Scaysbrook’s relentless workrate, coupled with his ability to tackle seemingly anything, makes him a vital cog in the Chiefs pack.

His on-field leadership has also helped the Chiefs to establish themselves as a Premiership club and this forthcoming season should see the all-action flanker become the latest addition to the club’s Centurians Board.

During the 2011/12 campaign, Scaysbrook was shortlisted for the Aviva Premiership Player of the Year accolade, whilst he has also represented the England Saxons against both Italy and Ireland in the past.
